I am a Licensed Psychologist with over 15 years of experience. I love working with people, and in helping them achieve their goals. My theoretical orientation has been cognitive behavioral, which addresses people's thoughts and how their beliefs affect their feelings and actions. I perform psychological evaluations and psychotherapy with a broad population of clients.
Academic credentials : Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Masters degrees in Clinical Psychology from Radford University, and Ph.D. from Georgia State University. I have experience both in clinical and school psychology, and bring an understanding of child psychology, their educational experiences, learning environments, and psychopathology to my work.
I am drawn to coaching because of the positive, powerful benefits provided to clients. I have always been driven by positive psychology. The power of believing in yourself is untold, and so often we lose that belief, or it gets diminished through the course of everyday life. Coaching provides the arena for the client to experience the power and growth of their own skills and resources. I am working through MentorCoach and plan to become certified as a Life Coach, both through Mentor Coach and the ICF.
Personally, I am a wife and mother of two young children. My unique experiences as both a psychologist and coach provide me with a deeper understanding of the demands and needs made on parenting professionals.
As a business owner, I have learned how to cope with the demands of a small business, which has been a great learning experience.
Let's work together to transform your life, to reach your goals, reveal those hidden strengths, and enjoy life to the fullest.
